James Aldridge

James Aldridge is a visual artist and participatory arts consultant, living in Wiltshire and working across the South West. With a background in sculpture, James’ individual practice involves making and exhibiting sculptural, wearable and 2-D work, using found and recycled materials, photography and video, exploring the relationship of the individual body to its physical and cultural environment. James sets up and runs participatory arts projects in partnership with various organisations, focusing on disability arts, environmental arts and education. He is also available as a consultant on these areas, and is active in research and training, delivering presentations and writing articles for relevant publications.

James also runs 'Creative Ecology' - an organisation which delivers arts projects and training/consultation within education and the community, focusing on the role of person-centred arts activities in promoting personal and environmental awareness.
