'Bye for now from Kaleido Arts

Sadly, as many of our supporters will know, the office of Kaleido Arts closes on March 31st 2010.

The Kaleido Arts Board felt that they had no option but to close the office down because the Arts Council decided to cut Kaleido Arts' funding. If you want to know what the Board think about this look at this cartoon.*

There's some good news, however, for the Kaleido Arts website. In recognition of the value of the content on the website the British Library are archiving the site on the UK Web Archive.

And for Kaleido Arts, the company and charity, the story doesn't end here. We're reshaping ourselves into a society for disabled and Deaf artists and recruiting volunteers to regularly contact the 1000 people on our databases to offer information, support and other services.

If you want to help, or just keep in touch, let us know at info@kaleidoarts.org. If you're already on our database don't worry, we'll be back in touch once we've re-organised.

In the meantime we've contacted all the artists in touch with us and referred them, if they wished, to other disability arts organisations across England.

Below is a list of these organisations, as well as information about some useful websites for artists, in case you want to sign up to other ebulletins to replace ours.
